about us
the good project is a local initiative created by a group of friends who believe doing good should be simple.
Dedicated to supporting the Windsor-Essex community through practical giving, we host donation drives for everyday essentials—no cash, just real items that help real people.
Our mission: simple acts. local impact.
For each project, we partner with a local nonprofit organization to learn exactly what items they need most. We then organize a focused donation drive to help collect those items and deliver them directly to the organization.
Locations for item drop-off varies per drive. As we do not currently have a physical space, we rely on the community and workplaces to temporarily offer us space to collect goods.
We like to plan our drives around the times when support will have the greatest impact. By organizing collections around seasonal needs — like gathering hats and gloves in winter — we help ensure every donation meets the community’s needs at the right time.
the good project is not tied to any single nonprofit. Each year, we partner with different local nonprofits. Our goal is to work with three nonprofits annually, running three directed donation drives.
